New Year, New Beginnings

Ms. Castiglione's Blog Pages

This year begins my 27th year as an elementary school teacher, and my 13th year of working with gifted students. I’m excited to begin because one of the things I like best about my job is that many of the students are with me for more than one year, and some spend time in my classroom twice a day. This provides a rare opportunity to observe real growth over time, on a variety of levels. In a world of education that is often driven by test scores and labels, I have the luxury of being able to really get to know most of my students well. Of course, that path travels both ways, so I strive to be the best example of the kind of life-long learner that I hope I can help my students become.

Here’s to a successful 2017-2018 school year!
